Julia Niebrzydowski

Associate Attorney

Julia NiebrzydowskiLocation: Elmhurst, Oak Park

Born and raised in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, in high school Julia not only distinguished herself academically but also became an accomplished musician. After graduation, she moved to California to pursue a career in music and studied classical guitar at the University of Southern California (USC). Her last year included a semester of study in London and in 2010 she graduated from USC with a Bachelor’s degree in music.

Studies have shown that music training helps develop the left-brain functions of language use and reasoning while memorization skills are also enhanced and Julia is certainly proof of that. As an upper classman, she took several law classes, was never so happy to be in class and … was hooked. So, after graduating from USC she attended Whittier Law School in California and earned her law degree in 2015.

Already armed with intelligence and discipline, Julia, during law school, clerked for the Orange County District Attorney’s Office in the Special Prosecutions Unit, focusing primarily on child abuse cases, where she developed a toughness and great appreciation for the importance of the law for families and children. She later worked for a family law attorney in Irvine, CA and has worked only with family law clients since she returned to Illinois 2016.

As an Associate Attorney at Wakenight & Associates, P.C., the Law Firm Dedicated to Divorce and Family Law, Julia is pleased to be able to represent and help family law clients every day. Money and children’s issues dominate family law and Julia represents clients in divorce and parentage cases seeking child support, maintenance, property, retirement benefits, parenting time, residential custody, grandparent’s visitation, relocation, enforcement, modification and all other family law problems as well.

In addition to all her other accomplishments and attributes Julia is also speaks Spanish fluently and is thus able to offer family law representation to those clients that need or prefer to speak Spanish.
