Margaret H. Weging

Margaret H. Weging earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from De Paul University in 1974 and her Juris Doctorate from IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1979. She is licensed to practice law in Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (Trial Bar)  and the U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. She is the recipient of the Bar and Gavel Award from IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law as well as many awards from the Chicago Public Schools  for her work  with teens in the Illinois State Bar trial competitions and the Chicago Bar Association trial court competitions.  Prior to joining Wakenight & Associates, P.C. Margaret owed and ran her own law firm where she handled many divorce and family law cases and in her more than 30 years of legal experience, Margaret has successfully litigated many high-conflict domestic relations cases.  Margaret also has had experience in many other areas of law prior to joining the Wakenight & Associates, P. C. including jury trials, numerous bench trials, mediations, social security appeals, real estate, contracts, personal injury, property damage, insurance defense, workmen's compensation, work on behalf of the Legal Clinic for the Disabled, arbitrations and appellate court work. Her strong interest and background in divorce and family law brought her to Wakenight & Associates, P.C. and she brings an exceptional passion to her work on behalf of all her clients.
