James R Jurek

James Jurek completed his undergraduate work at the University of Illinois in 1980.  He had always had an interest in law and after graduation from the University went straight  to the University of Illinois College of Law which he graduated from in 1983.  After law school Jim promptly passed the bar exam, was awarded his law license and opened his own law office.

As a solo practitioner Jim operated his own general practice law office for many years. He represented clients in real estate transactions, condominium law, small business law, personal injury, divorce and family law, property damage cases, estate planning and wills and trusts.  A good number of Jim's clients were in the areas of divorce and family law and he developed a broad working but unrefined knowledge of the field.  Jim's interest in divorce and family law was great and when the opportunity to join the Divorce and Family Law Offices of Wakenight & Associates, P.C. and hone his divorce and family law knowledge and skills came along, Jim jumped at the chance.  Jim's recent successful representation of a father in a case where custody was modified and granted to the father is testimony that his decision to join Wakenight & Associates, P.C. was a very good one indeed.
